MISSION STATEMENT: To inspire, nurture, challenge, amaze, educate and empower artists and audiences while providing fun and entertainment through the shared experience of live theatre by producing new plays and classics marked by innovative interpretations and a reflection and inclusion of Norwalk, the surrounding communities and the world in which we live.
We operate through the support of members and the community. From our stage crews, to the actors, to the house staff that greets you upon arrival, every production and event is coordinated and run by volunteers. If you are interested in learning more about how you can lend a hand to continuing our tradition of excellence, please check out the volunteer opportunities below. We understand that not everyone wants to get involved in the same way. However, there are an abundance of opportunities available to participate in our productions, such as:
Join Us: Become a member for just $10 (single members) or $15 (family) per year. Lifetime memberships are also available; $100 for a single membershup, and $150 for a family. Mail to: The Shoestring Players, P.O. Box 663, Norwalk, Ohio 44857.
Volunteer Your Time: The Shoestring Players is an all volunteer group and we welcome all who wish to join us in our endeavor. We need Actors, Directors, Musicians, Seamstresses, Music Directors, Choreographers, Carpenters, Etc. Want to just run for coffee? We will gladly use any skills or abilities that you bring with you to help us develop a vibrant theatre program!
Audition for a Show: All of our auditions are open to the general public!
Make a Donation: We are a 501(c)3 certified non-profit organization and all donations to The Shoestring Players are tax deductible!
Corporate Sponsorship: People or businesses who are interested in underwriting a show will receive free advertising and tickets (up to ten per show) for the entire season
