Norwalk’s Shoestring Players community theater group is holding open auditions for “Couples, RETREAT!”, an original comic dinner theatre.
Auditions will be held at the Ernsthausen Recreation Center meeting room (100 Republic St., Norwalk) on Monday, August 8th, and Tuesday, August 9th, from 7-9pm.
“Couples, RETREAT!” is the story of a weekend counseling camp, where partners facing stressed relationships try to work out their issues. Understandable tensions only grow worse as the instructors reveal their quack methods, along with their own explosively toxic marriage… and matters jump completely off the rails when staff and guests begin to turn up dead. The survivors, once hoping to save their relationships, suddenly find themselves more concerned with saving their own necks.
The cast of 8-10 will be roughly divided between men and women, ages 18 and up. Auditions will consist of cold reading from the script.
The show opens September 16th, and will play several dates in Norwalk and surrounding communities throughout the month.
