Norwalk’s Shoestring Players community theater group is holding open auditions for “Murder With Style”, a comic murder mystery.
Auditions will take place at the Ernsthausen Recreation Center meeting room (100 Republic St., Norwalk) on Monday, November 28th, and Wednesday, November 30th, from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.
“Murder With Style” takes place in a small town, where the beauty parlor plays host to the hottest styles and the hottest gossip. As the story unfolds, the locals really have something to talk about: one of the customers is dead, and foul play is suspected. With local law enforcement baffled, it’s up to a couple of big-city inspectors to figure out whodunnit and how– a mission complicated by the fact that seemingly everybody in town had it out for the victim.
The cast has roles for 5-7 women and 1-3 men, age 20′s-60′s, as well as two “teens” to be played by actors in their teens or early 20′s.
The show opens January 21st, and will play several dates in Norwalk and surrounding communities.

Dracula and Dr. Frankenstein have gone Hollywood, and you’re invited to the party as they schmooze the top talent in the horror biz. But when the biggest star of all– the up-and-coming Scarlet Hood (former child star Red Riding Hood)– turns up dead, you might want to step away from the buffet long enough to identify the killer before he strikes again!
